Now, let us get to five games that are likely to be a major part of the Xbox 720 launch games line-up.
Kinect Sports 3
The next-generation Xbox is almost guaranteed to be shipping with a very advanced version of the Xbox Kinect. Taking that into account, Microsoft is going to want a game to show off the true power of the next-generation Kinect. This would be a perfect game to release day-and-date with the Xbox 720, or potentially even include as a pack-in game on a deluxe model of the Microsoft Xbox 720. Reports state that it will be none other than Rare Ltd. who will be working on the development of Kinect Sports 3, so look for this one to show off the true power of the next-generation Kinect.
Destiny
Bungie is hard at work on a new trilogy for Xbox gamers, and it is coming in the form of a new shooter named Destiny. The game is reportedly in development as part of a trilogy and will be published by none other than Activision. The expectation is that the game will ship on the Sony PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this coming Fall, but it is also believed to be in development as a next-generation shooter to launch day-and-date with the Xbox 720 to start the new trilogy.
Call of Duty Next-Generation
The Xbox 360 enjoyed a great deal of success during its launch with the help of Call of Duty 2. Since then, the franchise has absolutely taken off into one of the most valuable gaming franchises in history. This is exactly why you can certainly expect Activisoin and Infinity Ward to be hard at work on an Xbox 720 version of the next Call of Duty. There are rumors that this could be Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Patriots
Call of Duty kicked off its successful run with its huge launch release on the Xbox 360. The Rainbow Six franchise and Ubisoft are going to be looking to do the same with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Patriots. The company is reportedly hard at work to get this out as a launch game on the Xbox 720, and could be an absolutely massive Xbox Live hit when it releases if it is done properly.
The Extras – Madden ’14, NBA 2K14, FIFA 2014
You knew this was coming. With every single console launch comes a slew of games that will begin to lay the groundwork for what you will be seeing in the years ahead. With the Xbox 360 we saw huge advancements being made in the Madden franchise as well as the NBA 2K franchise in terms of new engines and new visual advancements. Remember the first time you saw cloth physics in NBA 2K and you just started running back and forth with Kobe to see the shorts move? Yeah, it will be like that, just much cooler.
