The specs for the next-generation successor to the Xbox 360, the Xbox 720, have begun to pop out thanks to a new set of leaks from VGLeaks.com
The story states that some of the power behind the Xbox 720 is really going to bloe you away.
For starters, the next-generation Xbox 720 is going to is going to pack an 8-core 1.6GHz chip, that also packs a 768-thread GPU. This means that you are going to end up with raw processing power that is well over 1 teraflop, pretty amazing stuff.
On top of that, it appears the console is also going ot pack 8GB DDR3 RAM, as well as 32MB of SRAM.
The optical disc drive is reportedly a Blu-ray drive, though there is no word yet is the console will support Blu-ray video playback.
Finally, the expectation is that there will be USB 3.0 ports, as well as a brand new HDMI 1.4a port.
